Dermal Fillers
The most subtle, natural results
Dr. Hong signature filler technique with Cannula injection and unmatched results attracts patients worldwide.
What Are Dermal fillers?
Dermal Fillers are commonly used in aesthetic medicine to redefine the face by adding volume and definition by lifting the skin. Dermal fillers can also be injected into facial lines and wrinkles to smoothen the skin.
Dr. Hong proudly uses Cannula for fillers injection to prevent bruising from fillers and ensure the safety of her clients. Below you’ll see the before and after of a jawline filler procedure.
Non-Surgical Temple Restoration: During the ageing process, we all lose volume in our temples. A hollowing of the temples is a natural part of the aging process. Soft tissue and bone dissolves while muscle and fascia (your connective tissues) change. This leads to less structural support in the temple area, which results in folds, wrinkles and volume loss. With dermal filler injections, we are able to re-volumize and restore your temples with Dermal Fillers.
Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty: A non-surgical blepharoplasty is performed with injectable fillers to refresh and rejuvenate the eye area. This treatment can address fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, and under-eye bags to create a youthful appearance. Unlike a traditional blepharoplasty, this treatment does not require surgery, incisions or stitches but with Dermal Fillers.
Non-Surgical Cheek Augmentation: Additional volume for lifting and contouring the cheek area with Dermal Fillers injection.
Dermal Fillers for Lips: A lip injection is a cosmetic procedure that plumps and fills the lips, smoothing out wrinkles and making the lips fuller and more voluptuous. This can be done with dermal fillers or with natural fat transfer. Dermal fillers use carefully-formulated ingredients to provide natural and long-lasting results, and a lip enhancement can be performed in a matter of minutes.
Dermal Fillers for Nasolabial Folds and Marionette lines: Nasolabial folds are the lines that extend from the outer corners of the nose down to the outer corners of the mouth. Many clients are concerned about the appearance of their nasolabial folds, even from a very early age, and this concern intensifies over time. They can be concerned about the fold, or the wrinkle or both. Marionette lines are vertical lines that extend from the outer corners of the mouth down to the jawline on either side of the chin. Both are caused by:
repeated facial expressions
reduced production of collagen and elastin
age-related fat reduction in the face
With the right professional treatments, we can restore lost facial volume, improve skin health and youthfulness, and reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
Non-Surgical Chin & Jaw Definition: The jawline and chin are very defining features that provide structure and beauty to our faces. Many individuals suffer from a poorly defined jaw or chin, resulting in a lack of definition and jowling. Enhancing your jawline or chin can tighten the face, improve facial harmony, restore balance and add symmetry to your facial features, while the end result is a more youthful and refined appearance with Dermal Fillers injection.

What Other Clients Say About Chin Fillers:
Dr Hong is magical! I came in wanting to even out the proportions of my face. After some back and forth conversation, keeping all my wants and concerns in mind, she suggested creating a Korean v line jaw by reducing my masseter muscle with Botox/Dysport and using Restaylane filler to define my chin. It has been about 6 months and I am very happy with the results. She is truly an artist. I am very happy to have found her and would highly recommend her services to others. - M John
Types of Dermal fillers:
Restylane®/Juvederm®
Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) is a type of temporary dermal filler. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally through out the body, with the highest concentrations in the joints, eyes, and skin. In the skin hyaluronic acid attracts water, which allows the skin to become more hydrated. As we age, the fat, muscles, bone, and skin in our face begins to thin. This loss of volume leads to either a sunken or sagging appearance of the face, fine lines, wrinkles, folds, and thin lips. Injectable HA is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, facial folds, and to create structure, framework, and volume to the face and lips. The effects of injectable hyaluronic acid are seen immediately
Sculptra® Aesthetic
Sculptra® Aesthetic helps stimulate your skin's natural collagen production and works subtly, gradually over time for a more youthful-looking appearance. As the only Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved poly-L- lactic acid filler on the market, Sculptra® is different than other cosmetic fillers because the results are not immediate. We schedule several treatment sessions spread 6 weeks apart - this is done because Sculptra® stimulates your body's natural collagen production. Improvements are typically maintained for 2 years after an injection series. Your skin will subtly change over a period of time, making you look more radiant and younger in the process.
Sculptra® is most popular for treating deep facial folds, wrinkles, and restoring volume loss in the following areas of the face:
Hollows or depressions such as the cheeks and malar groove
Marionette lines and pre-jowl depression
Smile lines (nasolabial folds)
Temples
Chin creases and dimpling
Neck and jawline
Forehead
Acne scars
Most clients share that they feel more youthful and attractive due to the achieved volume, shape, and curves achieved from the procedure. The youthful and attractive look clients experience is supported by deep pads of fat that lift and support the overlying skin and soft tissue; this lends itself to the contours that come with youth and beauty. Dr. Hong Med Spa specializes in Sculptra injection for not only the face but also buttocks. Please see the Sculptra BBL section for more information.

Dr. Hong uses the CANNULA INJECTION TECHNIQUE.
Dermal fillers injections with Cannula injections are administered by Dr. Hong, only less than 5% injectors in USA are able to use this technique.
What Is Cannula?
Cannula is a flexible needle with a blunt tip, unlike traditional needles which are rigid and have a sharp point. Because they do not have a sharp tip, cannulas may be less likely to puncture a blood vessel when fillers are injected, which helps Dr. Hong to prevent bruising with fillers.
In addition, cannulas tend to be longer than most needles and therefore reach more areas with fewer entry points into the skin. Cannula injections have been proven to cause less swelling and bruising.
What Is AccuVein®?
In addition to cannula injection, Dr. Hong has added another safety procedure measure by utilizing the game changing medical technology device, AccuVein®.
AccuVein® is a cutting-edge vein visualization technology that enhancing the safety of injectable procedures. Using AccuVein®’s game-changing technology, medical aesthetic providers have the opportunity to view the vast network of veins and blood vessels underneath the skin prior to treatment. An experienced practitioner can incorporate the pain-free step of AccuVein®’s vein visualization to see a roadmap of the individual patient’s vasculature. The veins can then be avoided during the injections, making the treatment more comfortable, dramatically reducing ugly bruising, and ultimately decreasing post-treatment discomfort. AccuVein® gives both doctors and clients peace-of-mind, reduced bruising, and gets clients back to their normal routine right away, with zero downtime.
